How much do you charge?

How many dogs are walked at any one time?

We believe dogs have more fun if they can play and interact with other dogs. Our groups are kept small with groups of up to a maximum 6 dogs. Groups are carefully selected with breed, age, sex and personality in mind and are discussed with the owner beforehand.

Will I meet my Dog Walker/Pet Carer?

Yes. We offer a free personal initial consultation and assessment in order to understand both you and your dog’s/pet's personality and needs. This will also give you the chance to get to know us, and ask any questions you might have and find out how things work.

Do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?

We collect your dog from your home/place of work at an agreed time set by you and then return them after their walk. 

Are you insured?

Yes. We are fully insured this includes key cover. We are also qualified and CRB checked. Feel free to ask to see a copy of all our certificate. 

Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?

No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with us to enable us to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home.

Do you do out-of-hours walking?

Yes, we work flexibly  Please contact us to discuss.

What do I do if I need to cancel?

Please contact us by text, email or telephone giving at least 48 hours -notice, for 50% charges to apply. 
Dog's with a regular weekly service agreements will be charged a retainer fee of 50% when not attending service outside of the 4 week holiday allowance.
This will be subject to discretion in relation to absence of illness .

What do you do in case of an emergency?

In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. In the original consultation, we ensure that we have all the family emergency contact details. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your dog to your named vet or, depending on the circumstances, to the nearest possible one.

Will my dog be supervised at all times?  

Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by one of our experienced dog walkers, and will NEVER be left unattended.

My dog has not been spayed or neutered, can he/she still be walked?

Yes. As a rule, but this will discussed in the initial consultation, each dog will be considered separately but we  reserve the right to refuse any dog.

Do you take bitches in season?

Bitches may attend All About Paws pet services , however  they cannot attend Group Walks while in season or pregnant, an alternative individual walking service will be offered. Any extra cost of the service is to be met by the client.

What security measures do you have to keep me safe?

Your key will be kept secure and locked away from personal information; no key can be identified to any property. In the event of your key being lost or stolen we will advise you immediately.
Your personal information will never be sold or discussed with any 3rd parties and stored in line with GDPR.
All About Paws staff are DBS checked for your peace of mind.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?

We carefully select which dogs will walk together. If we identify an issue or imbalance within the group, we will switch dogs accordingly. We will consult with you to agree a solution as we want all of our dogs to enjoy their walk.

 Do you offer your services on the weekends and bank holidays?

 Yes. For regular clients with the exception of Christmas Day, however this may impact our price structure. We will advise as relevant but please contact us for detail if required.

How do you transport the dogs to the walk location?

We have a GPS tracked and fully insured vehicle, which has dog guard individual safety cages fitted. Each cage has  non-slip mats and the vehicles are fully air conditioned to make the journey to the walk as safe comfortable and enjoyable as possible. In the unlikely event that the vehicle is involved in an accident automatic emergency service contact is made via the GPS system.

I only require occasional walks for my dog, not every week or every day, can you help?

We are happy to provide services as and when you require, assuming we have diary availability. We recommend that you give as much notice as possible.

My dog can be aggressive with other dogs or people and he has to wear a muzzle, can you still walk him?

Yes. We are able to walk your dog, however group walks are not suitable for an aggressive dog but individual walks would be available. This will discussed in the initial consultation, each dog will be considered separately but we do reserve the right to refuse any dog.

What areas do you provide a service ?

We are based in Cardiff cover North  Cardiff, and RCT  Please feel free to ask for other areas. If we can oblige, we will .

We have  just got a puppy and we both work, what services do you provide for a puppy?

Puppies require attention every 2-3 hours.We offer puppy visits or a day care package; please see our services page. We can also offer training and support to assist you, family and pup develop a routine and settle in.
Having a dog walker for a puppy makes training much easier, we will work with your puppy to heel, sit, stay, etc. We will also be able to introduce them to other puppies and dogs once they are old enough to join in.
We follow Kennel club guidelines and will only provide a five minute per month age walk.  

Do you walk dogs off the lead?

 Yes. Once your dog is familiar with their walker and responding well to instruction. If your dog is a little bit rusty on their recall then we can keep them on a long lead and let them run and play in safety! We will only let your dog off lead once we have written consent and it is safe to do so.

What happens in bad or extreme weather?

We will walk in bad weather, we will happily put your dog's coat on and will clean and dry your dog off as much as possible for return home.
Extreme Weather Heavy Storms, Snow and Ice - we may rearrange times, cut short or cancel walks or visits if we feel there is imminent danger to your pet or All About Paws staff. This will be avoided if at all possible and as much notice as reasonably practicable will be provided along with reimbursement of charges if we cannot deliver our service.
Heat waves - your dog will be transported in an air cooled vehicle and water is supplied to dogs at all times. At times of extreme heat, dogs will be transported to a well shaded walking or water play area to make sure they keep cool.

Can you administer my pet’s medication?

We are happy to administer medication for your dog/cat/pet, in accordance with your written instructions.

Does your service cater for all dog breeds?

We take each dog on its own merit and not on reputation of particular breeds. We meet all dogs before we walk them and each new dog is subject to assessment and a trial period. Any instances of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog.
We will not consider walking any dog whose breed is listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act as our insurance company does not permit us to do so.

When are you available to walk my dog?

We walk all day Monday to Friday. Weekend bookings are available for regular clients.

Would you stay overnight at a customer's home to care for dogs?

Yes we provide an over night stay and hourly sitting but please consult our prices and call to discuss.

What are your terms and conditions?

We will agree a bespoke service delivery plan with you and your pet at the assessment stage. More General Terms and Conditions can be found in our Terms an Condition section.

What happens when a walk need's to be cancelled by All About Paws ?

Unfortunately, thee are times that we will not be able to deliver service ,for example illness extreme weather or van malfunction if it is us that cancels your dogs walk there will be no charge and your dog will be provided a credit for their walk.
